Mobility Grants

General Information About the Call

The Individual Mobility Action supports artists and cultural professionals in undertaking projects with a partner in another Creative Europe country. The selected projects should align with two of the following objectives: exploration, creation, learning, or professional networking. Projects that solely present pre-existing work will not be supported.

Supported Projects

Artists and cultural professionals can apply to collaborate on a project with a partner in a Creative Europe country different from their country of residence. The project should focus on at least two of these goals:

• Exploration: Engage in creative and artistic research on a specific theme or concept.
• Creation: Produce a new piece of artistic or cultural work.
• Learning: Enhance skills through non-formal learning or specialist collaboration.
• Connection: Develop professional networks and engage with new audiences.

The partner can be another artist, an organization, or a venue in the destination country. Applicants need to provide proof of collaboration in their application. Applications can be submitted individually or by groups of up to five people.

Important: The grant cannot be used for projects that only showcase previously created work. It is intended to foster new creations, exchanges, and learning across borders.

Novelties of the Third Call

• Project Duration:
  • Individual projects: 7 to 40 days
  • Group projects: 7 to 14 days

  The project duration refers to uninterrupted days spent in the destination country.

• Project Categories:
  • 70% of projects are short-term (7 to 14 days)
  • 23% are medium-term (15 to 21 days)
  • 7% are long-term (22 to 40 days)
• Project Implementation Deadline:
  • The earliest start is 60 days after the monthly deadline.
  • All projects must be completed by 30 April 2025.
• Virtual and Hybrid Mobility:
  • Artists and cultural professionals with disabilities can opt for a virtual project or a hybrid mobility project, with additional accessibility support provided.

What Does the Grant Offer?

The grant includes a travel allowance, a daily allowance, and individual top-ups based on the project and personal situation.

• Daily Allowance: €75 per person per day.
• Travel Allowance:
  • €350 for distances under 5,000 km (round-trip)
  • €700 for distances above 5,000 km (round-trip)
• Top-ups and Support:
  • Green top-up: €350 for avoiding air travel for distances over 600 km.
  • Overseas/Outermost Regions top-up: €150.
  • Visa top-up: €80.
  • Family top-up: €100 for children under 10 years.
  • Accessibility support: For additional costs related to travel or project implementation for people with disabilities.

Top-ups can be combined, with justification and proof required.

Selection Criteria

Applications are evaluated on the following criteria:

• Relevance: The goal and relevance of the mobility project.
• Planning: Adequate planning with the international partner.
• Impact: Long-term positive impacts of the project.
• Sustainability: Inclusion of environmental considerations.

Timeline and Application Process

The third call runs from 1 August 2024 to 30 November 2024, with monthly deadlines on the last day of each month. Applications are evaluated and grants awarded every month.

Application Language

All processes are conducted in English. While language skills are not evaluated, applicants can use online translation tools.
