Data Management Intern (FWS)

Overview: The ICA at VCU seeks a detail-oriented FWS Data Management Intern to help manage and organize attendance data. This role involves using Google Sheets to reformat and clean data, create reports, and present findings. The position focuses on ensuring data accuracy and consistency, aiding in strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reformat and organize attendance data using Google Sheets.
• Verify and clean data to remove duplicates and correct errors.
• Collaborate with the Data Working Group to address data-related issues.
• Develop and implement standardized data entry procedures.
• Generate reports and summaries based on attendance data.
• Present findings to staff and stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data.
• Attend meetings and provide feedback.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Interpretation Intern (FWS)

Overview: The ICA at VCU is looking for a passionate FWS Interpretation Intern to create and deliver interpretive programs based on current exhibitions. The intern will work with exhibitions, curatorial, and visitor experience teams to engage diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research current exhibitions and related themes.
• Familiarize with best practices in interpretation.
• Attend interpretive programming at other cultural institutions.
• Develop and deliver interpretive programs.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure program accuracy.
• Create outlines, scripts, and educational resources.
• Provide feedback on interpretive strategies.
• Support other educational initiatives.
• Collect feedback from visitors.
• Attend meetings and provide feedback.

Administrative Intern (FWS)

Overview: The ICA at VCU seeks an organized FWS Administrative Intern to manage storage spaces, maintain a digital inventory, and produce an internal newsletter. The role involves working with various departments and assisting with special projects.

Overview: The ICA is hiring part-time Visitor Experience Associates (VEAs) to welcome visitors, assist in galleries, and support events and retail spaces. This position offers $15/hr and is available to Federal Work Study-qualified VCU students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and orient visitors at the front desk.
• Assist visitors in the galleries.
• Support special events, programs, and retail spaces.
