The Met Fellowship Program offers scholars, curators, conservation professionals, and academics from around the world the opportunity to conduct independent research or study at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met) in New York City. The program supports interdisciplinary projects that require close study of The Met’s collection, which spans over 5,000 years of history.

Each year, over 50 fellowships are awarded to junior scholars, postdoctoral researchers, senior academics, and museum professionals. Fellows are embedded in the Museum’s curatorial, conservation, education, or scientific research departments, gaining unique access to The Met’s resources, collections, and professional staff.
