Job Description

The Curator of Photography plays a crucial role at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (FAMSF). This person oversees the growth and care of the photography collection and exhibition program. Reporting to the Curator in Charge of the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts, they handle all collection and curatorial programming aspects. Key responsibilities include research, collection management, and the development and organization of exhibitions and publications. The curator also engages in public-facing activities, building relationships within the Bay Area’s artistic and collecting communities to enhance the program and expand the collection.
